Torrequebrada – Benalmadena
Torrequebrada Benalmadena is situated between the coast of Arroyo de la Miel and Torremuelle and goes up to Benalmadena Pueblo. The residential urbanisation is what characterizes this area of Benalmadena. There are different facilities, but instead of being all together like in a centre, they are more dispersed through the area. Therefore, it is more a residential area compared to Arroyo de la Miel or Benalmadena Pueblo. There are four different zones in Torrequebrada: Cortijo Torrequebrada, Hacienda Torrequebrada, Nueva Torrequebrada y finalmente Zona Centro Comercial Torrequebrada.
Cortijo Torrequebrada Benalmadena
If you come from Puerto Marina, passing the coast of Arroyo de la Miel, you will get to Cortijo Torrequebrada. This area is adjacent with La Verdas beach: the largest beach of Torrequebrada. This is where most services and facilities can be found. Its where the hotels are and some restaurants at the beach, like for example “Los Remos Lazaro”. There is also a large supermarket.
One of the hotels in this area is Hotel SunSet Beach with, for example, the “Moonlight Bar” where different events are organized during the high season. There is also a gym open to the public. At the backside of this hotel you can find the Punta Negra promenade. It’s a lovely promenade next to the sea where you can find “Salitos Bar to have a drink. This promenade continues up to the next beach “La Cala” which belongs to the area Hacienda Torrequebrada.
The type of property you will find in Cortijo Torrequebrada is some buildings with apartments. But the more you go up, the more you will find avenues with villas. So, the more you go up, the peacefully it gets.

Hacienda Torrequebrada Benalmadena
The first thing you will notice in Hacienda Torrequebrada is the golf course “Golf Torrequebrada” . It’s a beautiful golf course next to the sea. It’s the green heart of Hacienda Torrequebrada. The golfcourse is a 18-hole course with a driving range. Next to the golf course there is an international school: “Colegio Internacional Torrequebrada”. The coast side has two beaches: Playa La Cala and Playa Torrequebrada with different little bays. In this area you can find the Estival Torrequebrada hotel and the Casino of Benalmádena. There are also different restaurants where you can enjoy a grea meal with beautiful sea views, like for example restaurant “La Cala”. There is also a SuperCor supermarket and a chemist.
The properties of Hacienda Torrequebrada are a mix between apartment buildings, townhouses and detached villas.
Nueva Torrequebrada
The most typical of this area is the urbanizations with apartments. The south area of Nueva Torrequebrada is next to the sea. There are two beaches: Viborilla beach and Playa de las Yucas. You will find different restaurants, some of them have beautiful sea views. Nueva Torrequebrada has a smaal shopping mall with diffente shops and services and a Mercadona supermarket. The is also a private college: “Benalmádena International College”.
At the north side of Nueva Torrequebrada there are more urbanisations with apartments. En la parte norte de Nueva Torrequebrada hay más urbanizaciones con apartments. This area is more quiet because its further away from the coast. From here you can get easily to Montealto, where the hospitals of Benalmadena are. And from here you reach the pintoresque Benalmadena Pueblo.
